Rehabilitation Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN
Havel provided and installed a new, state-of-the-art Building Automation System (BAS) for Lutheran Health Network’s (LHN) Rehabilitation Hospital. The hospital features advanced medical workstations and browsers, which the new BAS centralizes into one integrated network, helping the hospital operate efficiently and effectively.
LHN realized that it was operating an outdated BAS, with a head end that was no longer factory supported. In an effort to overhaul and modernize their network, they decided to bring in a team of controls and automation experts.
Throughout the project, Havel’s experienced technicians worked closely with LHN’s Information and Technologies department. The two teams set up an advanced enterprise server capable of hosting BAS applications for the Rehabilitation Hospital, as well as multiple other LHN facilities across Fort Wayne.
Havel delivered extensive BAS services, including:
- Updated BAS head-end
- Brought all legacy controllers into a single platform
- Replaced obsolete field controllers
- Updated BAS graphical interface to a server-based system for viewing from any authorized workstation
- Updated graphics with HTML5 programming compatible with modern web browsers
- Ongoing service and support
The Lutheran Health Network is an integrated healthcare provider that includes more than 100 access points across northern Indiana. LHN has contracted Havel for BAS services at facilities in Fort Wayne, including the Rehabilitation Hospital, Dupont Hospital, Fort Wayne Orthopedics, and the Lutheran Business Operations Center.
