Instrumental in launching Havel’s Phoenix office, Whitey is responsible for Havel’s delivery of innovative, high-performance solutions throughout Arizona.
To help our clients meet today’s facilities challenges, Whitey manages our team’s marketing and sales activities, oversees preparation and delivery of estimates, and supervises project managers.
Whitey also monitors construction project schedules, quality, and costs; helps ensure prompt and reliable service; and manages overall financial performance.
As a result, Havel continues to earn relationships based on improved building comfort, increased productivity, measurable energy-efficiency, and continuous value.
An industry veteran, Whitey offers clients exceptional insight gained from more than 40 years of experience providing direct digital controls and integrations, plumbing, HVAC, general construction, and service solutions.
Whitey’s expertise encompasses estimating, project management, sales, purchasing, expediting, service, retrofits, and replacements. Prior to joining Havel in 2012, he held positions in mechanical installation, service, sales, and marketing management. With Havel, he advanced from a Branch Manager role for our Indiana and Michigan offices to Director for our Arizona office.
Under Whitey’s leadership, Havel earned the opportunity to serve as turnkey energy solutions provider for the University of Notre Dame’s energy conservation projects. His direction on these projects has helped the University reduce energy consumption more than 20 percent.
Whitey has also provided executive leadership over a wide variety of temperature control and building automation projects at the University of Notre Dame, ranging from repairs to multimillion-dollar capital projects.
Holding a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from the University of Akron, Whitey has also completed safety and advanced management courses at the University of Notre Dame.
His professional training includes Comfort System USA’s Lessons in Leadership Program, King & Associates service and sales training, A.O. Smith’s technical service agent training, and the Building Industry Association’s confined space entry training.
A Utah-licensed master plumber, HVAC contractor, general contractor and plumbing contractor, Whitey is also Schneider Electric EcoXpert Data Center-certified.
Additionally, Whitey is a National Fire Protection Association-certified medical gas installer and National Kitchen & Bath Association-certified bath designer.
